The Foundry is a small group of twelve men that meets on Zoom twice a month to work on the practical side of being a man: one teaching night and one sharing night, usually the first and third Wednesdays.
Where a subject allows it, we practise as well as talk - standing up, on camera. Nothing in the practice is sexual. It is the kind of thing you would do in a mixed yoga class.

Each teaching night gives you a practice to work on until the next one. It builds over the year.
Twelve men. Often someone has been where you are, or sees it from another angle.
The sharing night is for saying what is going on in your life, to men who take it seriously.
On the sharing night the room asks how the practice went, and so do I.

We take one subject and go into it properly. Then, where the subject allows, we put it to work - standing up, doing the thing, with the rest of the room doing it alongside you. You leave with something to work on until the next night, and on the sharing night we find out how it went.

It covers how the practice went, and anything else going on - work, home, or something you have never said to anyone.
The group listens, asks questions, and helps you work out what to do next.

In the Foundry the whole room is heated at once. On the Anvil, a man is hand-crafted.
The Anvil is an add-on to Foundry membership, not a separate group. Up to 5 of the 12 men can add it. That is how many one-to-ones I can fit in a month.

Rose & Sword started as a writing project. The Foundry is the practical side of it: a small group of men, meeting twice a month, working on body, mind, Eros and relationships.
Rose & Sword is the name I teach under. The sword is discipline, clarity and the ability to act - the teaching night. The rose is sensitivity and staying open - the sharing night.
